Grocery deals without coupons - Aldi

Most of the time, I am able to find the best deals by using coupons and matching them to sale prices. But there are some things I find cheaper at Aldi!

Current deals at Aldi in Danville:

  • 1 gallon milk - $1.49 (Walmart will match this price if you just tell them you want to "comp the Aldi price" at checkout)
  • box of instant oatmeal 1.49 (Walmart off brand is still 1.97)

Produce is usually fresher and cheaper at Aldi

  • blueberries 1.98 (per package not pound)
  • seedless grapes 1.98 (per package not pound)
  • gala apples - usually about $1 cheaper than Walmart

Have you tried Aldi? I don't shop there regularly since I found coupons but for these things I don't usually find coupons or other sales.

Walgreens, Rite Aid or CVS ?????

Walgreens, Rite Aid or CVS are the 3 drugstores that offer incredible savings on a weekly basis. But let's be honest. You cannot do all 3 and stay sane. My advice? Pick the one that is the closest to you, snag all the savings you can and don't worry about the other 2!

I play the CVS game because it is the most convenient location.

Every week I post the best free or cheap deals I find at CVS (and sometimes RiteAid) so you don't have to spend alot of time fuguring out what the deals are. If Walgreens is better for you, here's a site that breaks down the weekly deals there.

I try to post the deals on Sunday morning so you can plan your trips. If you want to get a sneak peak at what the sales are going to be, you can check out these sites:

People are saving $ everywhere! Are you one of them?

Sunday afternoon my neighbor told me how excited she was. She filled a cart at Kroger and only paid $45! That included a HUGE jar of pickles that will last them till December (at least), lots of fresh produce, cereal and everything else they needed.

Monday night my aunt told me that she had saved $35 at Walmart last week! Her biggest savings yet!

Are you seeing lots of savings on your receipts? What's your biggest savings adventure so far? Here's a great place to brag! Just leave a comment below.

Free cookie at Subway

Here is an instant win game at Subway.com where you are promised a free cookie. If you don't have a code (and who really will have one?) you can still play.

  1. You will have to go to the Official rules and click the link that is in paragraph #4. to get a code.
  2. Then click here to enter your code.
  3. I didn't win the big prize but I got to print a free cookie coupon.

You can play once a day.

Why I love rebates!

Back in April, I told you about the $1.00 coupon and the Try It Free rebate for Reynolds Wrap! Today I got a check for 2.99! The reynolds wrap cost 2.99 but I used a $1.00 coupon so I only paid 1.99.

  • I mailed the rebate form and my receipt (cost me .44 for a stamp).
  • Out of pocket (oop) for a box of aluminum foil - $2.43
  • Rebate check I received- 2.99
I now have a box of aluminum foil + a profit of .56!

I love to match rebates that refund the full purchase price with coupons. That way I don't even pay the stamp price.

I have received rebate checks for Resolve carpet cleaner, Pert shampoo, Deodorant.....

Here's a rebate offer you may want to try...

My new Wii game came today from Swaptree.

Remember last week when I told you about Swaptree.com? Today I got a Mario Wii game in the mail. It only cost me the price of postage (under $2.00) because I swapped a gamecube game that I had gotten in a yard sale last month. My kids are going to love it tonight! and if they don't? I've lost nothing because I will just repost this Wii game on swaptree and try something else!

Remember - if you sign up for swaptree make sure you put as many things as you can on your want list and have list. Your odds for a quick match go up the more items you have! and don't worry if you don't get a match right away. We've been a member for a little over 2 years and have completed over 60 trades! Sometimes we'll hit a month where we complete 3 or 4 swaps then there will be dry times when we don't get a swap at all. It all depends on what you have listed and who else is swapping.
